Fun Fact: There are 149 rafter tails and 21 corbels on our house.
Rich, his dad, and a VIP crew cut off all 149 rafter tails (the piece of wood that juts out vertically under your roof) that were not installed properly and reattached all new tails. It can be tough to feel like you're finally making progress forward but then realize something isn't right and take 2 steps back. In this case, the final outcome was worth the wait! Now all tails are level and symmetrical. This detail will be seen since they are exposed rafter tails with tongue and groove soffits, hence the importance. Once siding and paint come into play, these new tails will be our little secret;)
PS-Make sure to always prime/stain your tongue and groove before installing. Although your painter will paint the visible portion, as the boards expand and contract with temperature, you will be able to see any unpainted portions. Little tips of the trade.
